Anime Archaeologist Resin Garage Kit – Flowered Sarong, Glyph-Carved Stone & Palm Beach Base (Unpainted, 13 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 13 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art statue of the calm, dark-haired archaeologist from a famous anime pirate series. She stands at the back of the base with both hands tucked behind her head, sunglasses pushed up into her long black hair and a small amused smile. She wears a cropped blue-violet zip jacket with short cuffed sleeves and a tall open collar, thin black ties at the hips, and a long coral sarong knotted at one hip, with a slit at the front, a fringed hem and a pale green side panel printed with two large flowers. Her shoes are red pumps. The base is round and built up in tiers: two bands of riveted wooden planks, a ring of water, a mound of sand, a square stone block carved with rows of glyphs, and a small palm.
What's in the kit
- 13 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 5 pieces: head with the hair, torso, two arms and the legs.
- Sarong, 2 pieces: the two long panels of the wrap skirt.
- Base, 6 pieces: two riveted plank tiers, the sand mound, the carved stone block and the palm in two parts.
- Tallest single piece: the legs, 200.9 mm (7.91 in) in the sculptor's file. The finished figure stands taller once the torso, head and base are added. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
- Base: the bottom plank tier is 162.9 × 162.8 mm (6.41 × 6.41 in) across in the sculptor's file.
- Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- Build the base first: two plank tiers, the sand mound, then the stone block and the palm. Dry-fit them against the photos before gluing.
- She stands on two heels, and the whole figure above rides on the legs piece. Pin the legs into the sand mound and the mound into the tiers.
- The sarong comes as two long panels that wrap the legs. The seam runs down a long smooth cloth surface, so plan to fill and sand it.
- The palm fronds, fringe hem, zipper teeth and sunglasses are fine detail. The hands sit behind the hair, so test-fit the arms with the head on.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
