Anime Armored Dragon Warrior Resin Garage Kit – Triple-Claw Gauntlets, Horned Helm, Two-Part Back Shield & Flame Spike Base (Unpainted, 20 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 20 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art statue of the armored dragon warrior, the most powerful form of a dinosaur partner creature, from a classic anime about kids and their monster partners. He stands square to the viewer with his feet planted and both arms spread wide, each forearm sheathed in a gauntlet with three long blades pointing outward. His head is covered by a horned helm with a single spike on the crown and curved horns at the temples, with a mane of hair spilling out at the back. He wears a segmented chest plate laced with crossed cord straps, large domed shoulder pads with a spike on each, a front hip plate and two side plates, and shin guards over clawed three-toed feet, with stacked rings around the ankles; the muscled arms and thighs show between the armor. On his back, a large shield split into two halves sits like a pair of wings, with a crest engraved across it. In the studio's color design the skin is orange-tan, the helm, chest and shins are silver-gray, the shoulder pads, gauntlets and shield are yellow, the straps red-orange and the flames yellow to orange. The base is a mound of angular flame spikes, with two curling flame ribbons rising out of it and wrapping around his legs.
What's in the kit
- 20 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 10 pieces: the helm, the torso with both arms, the hips and thighs, the front hip plate, two side hip plates, two shoulder pads and the two shins with clawed feet.
- Gauntlets and shield, 4 pieces: the two triple-claw gauntlets and the two halves of the back shield.
- Base, 6 pieces: the flame-spike base in four sections and two curling flame ribbons.
- Studio size: 235 mm (9.25 in) tall, 197 mm (7.76 in) wide and 145 mm (5.71 in) long (from the studio's scale sheet).
- Scale: about 1:10 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:10 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- Build the base first: the four flame sections fit together before the feet go on, and the two flame ribbons thread around the legs and into the base.
- The feet carry the whole figure onto the base. Pin both feet.
- The two shield halves hang off his back and the gauntlets sit at the ends of outstretched arms. Pin the shield halves and the gauntlets.
- Thin parts: the flame tips, the gauntlet blades, the shoulder spikes and the helm horns.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
