IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 23 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

The black dress figure has her hair pinned up with gold roses and hairpins, a high banded collar with a small rose pendant, a black satin bodice with crossed straps and bare shoulders, a short fitted skirt under an open overskirt lined with roses, and glossy black thigh-high heeled boots. The red sweater dress figure has her long hair loose down her back, an off-shoulder cable-knit sweater dress, dark tights and pale heeled ankle boots, with a wine bottle raised at her temple and a glass in her other hand. Each pedestal is a planked wooden deck scattered with petals on a molded drum and a column with roots on four scrolled feet, wrapped by a thick thorned vine with deep red roses.

What's in the kit

  • 23 resin pieces in total.
  • Black dress figure, 8 pieces: head with the pinned-up hair and gold roses, the front hair locks, upper body with both arms, the skirt with the open overskirt, two legs in thigh-high boots, and two hands each holding a gold stiletto.
  • Base for the black dress figure, 4 pieces: the planked deck with its drum, the column on four scrolled feet, and two thorned rose-vine sections.
  • Red sweater dress figure, 7 pieces: head with the long loose hair, the front hair locks, the sweater dress body, the raised arm with the wine bottle, the lowered arm with the glass, and two legs in tights and ankle boots.
  • Base for the red sweater dress figure, 4 pieces: a second full copy of the same pedestal, so each figure stands on its own.
  • Tallest single piece: in the black dress figure, a leg, 155.9 mm (6.14 in); in the red sweater dress figure, a leg, 139.3 mm (5.48 in), both in the sculptor's file. Each figure is the size given here. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
  • Deck, one for each figure: 118.2 × 116.2 mm (4.65 × 4.57 in) across in the sculptor's file.
  • Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The two stilettos are long, thin and tapered, molded into small hands. Remove supports slowly and glue the hands last.
  • The front hair locks are a long, thin piece that runs from the temples to the chest, and the rose vines taper to fine tips with thorns.
  • The skirt piece is a long open overskirt shell, and each figure's deck and drum is the heaviest part of its build. I print the deck and drum hollow, so fill the small drain holes before priming.
  • The sweater dress figure's knit texture covers the whole body and sleeves, so seams and support marks there are hard to hide. The wine bottle neck and the glass stem are thin.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

Shipping and returns

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
