IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 15 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the black-haired officer of a monster-fighting military corps from a recent anime. She stands square to the viewer with her feet planted wide on a broken slab of rock, her right hand gripping the loop handle on top of a huge cannon that hangs at her hip with the barrel pointing off to her left, and her left arm hanging at her side. Her long black hair is pulled into a high ponytail that falls past her waist in thick waves, with loose bangs, two small pale clips at the temples, red eyes and a beauty mark under each eye. She wears a black zip-front bodysuit with a dark green chest panel, white armored shoulder pads with a round emblem on the right one, white forearm bracers, fingerless gloves, a black belt with two white buckle plates, olive pouches on one hip and strapped to both thighs, and white shin guards over pale boots; from behind, a column of white diamond-shaped plates runs down her spine. The cannon has a black loop handle, a silver pressure tank with a warning label, a green-lit panel, a boxy body with a flared rear cone and a long barrel with vents at the muzzle, and it reaches past the base at both ends. The base is a slab of cracked gray rock with a few loose chips on top. All three heads are in the box, to swap as you like: a stern face, the same face under a black respirator mask with round filters, and a calm face with half-lidded eyes and a faint smile.

What's in the kit

  • 15 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 10 pieces: torso, two legs, an arm section, three heads (stern, respirator mask and calm), two front hair pieces and the long ponytail.
  • Cannon, 3 pieces: the body with the loop handle and tank, the long barrel and a small end piece.
  • Base, 2 pieces: the rock slab in two halves.
  • Tallest single piece: the torso, 145.5 mm (5.73 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
  • Rock base: 131.6 × 306.7 mm (5.18 × 12.07 in) across, from the sculptor's single-piece file of the same base.
  • The cannon body is 190.3 mm (7.49 in) long and the barrel 164.7 mm (6.48 in) long in the sculptor's files.
  • Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The whole cannon hangs from one hand on its loop handle with nothing under it. Glue the barrel and end piece to the cannon body first, then pin the assembled cannon to the hand.
  • The rock slab comes in two halves that join across the top. Glue and fill that seam before the boots go on, and pin both boots into the rock.
  • Both legs join the bodysuit at the thigh on smooth, glossy suit. Test-fit and plan to fill and sand there.
  • Thin parts: the front hair, the wavy ponytail tips, the hair clips and the vent holes at the muzzle. The three heads fit the same neck; dry-fit the head you want with its front hair before gluing.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
