Anime Giant Warrior Monk Resin Garage Kit – Prayer Beads, Spiked Flail & Hand Axe on an Overhead Chain Loop, Cracked Stone Base (Unpainted, 19 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 19 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art statue of the towering, blind warrior monk from a hugely popular anime about demon hunters. He stands square with his feet planted wide on a cracked stone slab, his right hand raised flat in front of his chest in prayer and his left fist closed around a heavy chain. The chain loops up over his head in a wide arc and comes down on one side to a hand axe that floats out past his shoulder, and on the other side to a spiked ball resting on the base beside his foot. His eyes are blank and white with a tear track down each cheek, a wavy scar crosses his forehead under short black spiky hair, and his forearms are thick with raised veins. He wears a black high-collared uniform with wide trousers gathered at the calf, white leg wraps and sandals, a long string of large red prayer beads around his neck and looped around one forearm, and an olive coat with white lapel bands and patches lettered in black that flares straight out to both sides. The base is a rough grey stone slab on a round black plinth, with a small sculpted logo plaque on the front rim.
What's in the kit
- 19 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 5 pieces: head, chest with the upper arms and the neck beads, legs with the sandals, and two hands.
- Coat, 2 pieces: the two flaring halves of the coat.
- Weapons, 7 pieces: the spiked ball on a length of chain, and the rest of the chain and the axe in six sections.
- Base, 5 pieces: the round base in four quarters and a small fifth base piece.
- Tallest single piece: the spiked ball with its length of chain, 212.5 mm (8.37 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
- The base comes in four quarters; the largest is 158.8 × 160.8 mm (6.25 × 6.33 in) across in the sculptor's file.
- Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- The chain loop is the hard part: seven chain sections arc over his head between his fist, the axe and the spiked ball, and nothing else holds them up. Dry-fit the whole loop first, then pin every join.
- The spiked ball is a big, heavy part. Pin it to the base. I print it hollow, so fill the small drain holes before priming.
- The coat comes in two broad, thin halves that flare out to the sides. Pin them at the shoulders.
- The base comes in four large quarters. Glue and fill those seams first. I print the legs, chest and base quarters hollow, so fill the small drain holes before priming.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
