Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 17 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art statue of the white-haired sorcerer-teacher from a popular supernatural action anime. He stands at ease on the flat, cracked top of a jagged rock, feet apart, his left hand pushed into his jacket pocket and his right hand raised beside his face with the index and middle fingers crossed, grinning with his head tipped toward the hand. He wears a long dark uniform jacket in a fine woven texture with a very tall rolled collar up to his jaw and a seam down the front, slim matching trousers and glossy black ankle boots. Around him a broken ring of glossy purple and blue energy rises off the rock, climbing to a clawed crest on one side, curling behind his legs and splashing over the front edge. Both heads are in the box, so you can swap them as you like: a wide black mesh blindfold with his white hair swept straight up in flame-shaped spikes, and his hair worn down over the forehead with small round dark sunglasses low on his nose.
What's in the kit
- 17 resin pieces in total. Both heads are in the box.
- Figure, 5 pieces: the torso with the tall collar and the pocketed left hand, the legs, two boots and the raised right hand.
- Blindfold head, 2 pieces: the blindfolded head and the spiked hair crown.
- Sunglasses head, 3 pieces: the head with the hair worn down, a front fringe piece and the round sunglasses.
- Base, 7 pieces: the rock in two sections and the energy swirl in five sections.
- Studio size: 1:6 scale, 393 mm (15.47 in) tall, 231 mm (9.09 in) wide and 245 mm (9.65 in) deep (from Tanuki Figures' printing and scale guide).
- Scale: 1:6 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- Build the base first: the two rock sections, then the five energy sections that link into one ring around him. The ring sections reach off the rock on small contact points, so pin every join.
- The energy surfaces are smooth and glossy, so seams there will show unless filled and polished. A glaze and gloss coat give the energy parts a glow.
- He stands on the two boots on the rock top. Pin the boots to the legs and into the rock.
- Thin parts: the hair spikes, the crossed fingers, the energy claw tips and, on the sunglasses head, the glasses frame.
- Both heads come in the kit. Leave the neck joint unglued if you want to swap them later.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
