IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 13 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

The miniature version of a fan-art statue of the blond, suit-wearing fighting chef of a famous anime pirate crew: the same sculpt as the full statue, made smaller and in 13 pieces. He is planted on one foot on a slab of broken rock with his body folded over so his head hangs near the base, his other leg swung straight up overhead inside a tall column of flame. One gloved fist reaches down toward the rocks and the other arm is thrown out behind him, and his jacket has flown open with the tails flaring out. He wears a pinstripe suit with gold buttons on the front and cuffs, a dark vest with a row of gold buttons, a belt with a square buckle, a white collar with a loose white tie, black gloves and black shoes. His blond hair falls away from his face, which shows a shout with a cigarette in the corner of the mouth and a curled eyebrow. Curved, tapering flame arcs swirl around him from the base to shoulder height. In the studio's painted design the suit is deep wine red, the flames a pale blue-white, and some of the larger arcs a smoky warm grey. The studio's scale sheet gives the miniature as 112 mm tall. The full 1:10 scale statue and the bust are sold as separate listings.

  • Figure, 3 pieces: head with the hair, upper body and lower body.
  • Effects, 9 pieces: the flame column and the curved flame arcs.
  • Base, 1 piece: the broken rock slab as a single piece.
  • Miniature: 112 mm (4.41 in) tall, 108 × 87 mm (4.25 × 3.43 in) footprint (from the studio's scale sheet).

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The figure is only three parts (head, upper body, lower body) and the rock base is a single piece, so most of the work is the flames.
  • Nine flame pieces go around the figure and the file names don't say where. Lay them out against the photos and add them from the base up.
  • He still balances on one planted foot with the kicking leg and flames overhead. Glue that foot to the rock firmly and let it cure before adding flames.
  • Thin parts at this size: the flame tips, the tie ends, the cigarette and the front hair. Remove supports from the flame pieces slowly.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
