IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 15 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the white-maned, cat-eared swordswoman from a fantasy anime series. She stands at rest with a curved sword drawn and laid back over her right shoulder, the empty scabbard in her left hand and her right foot set forward on a stone. She wears an eyepatch over one eye, a dark open jacket with a thick cream fur collar, a red top, a red-and-cream patterned belt, olive trousers and strap sandals, and her long tail curls down to the rocks. The base is a mossy forest rock pile with ferns and a carved maze-pattern stone, with a tall vine-wrapped standing stone at the back.

What's in the kit

  • 15 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 10 pieces: head, front hair, the long back hair, torso, legs, left arm with the scabbard, right arm with the sword, two feet and the tail.
  • Jacket, 2 pieces: the left and right halves, each with its fur collar.
  • Base, 3 pieces: the front and back rock sections and a separate stone.
  • Tallest single piece: the legs, 139.7 mm (5.50 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
  • Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The sword blade and the tail are long, thin pieces. Pin both.
  • The long back hair is a large hanging piece that seats on a small head. Pin it, and dry-fit the front hair before gluing.
  • The two jacket halves meet at the shoulders and the collar, so a gap shows on the front. Dry-fit them on the torso before gluing.
  • The base is three pieces that meet through the rock work. Glue and fill those seams first.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
