IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as separate pieces (how many depends on the version you choose; see below) of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

Four fan-art chibi figures of the adventuring party from a fantasy anime about cooking and eating the monsters in a dungeon. Each one stands on its own scene base and is sold separately: choose the figure you want. The bearded warrior in a horned helmet stands on a defeated kraken with a speared chunk of tentacle held high on his trident, a fur-trimmed jacket, a long beard and a round cooking pot strapped to his back; the kraken base has spotted mushrooms, a moss clump and a small puddle. The grinning blond knight in plate armor and a chainmail skirt raises a sword with a winged crossguard while standing on the lid of a two-handled wok, which rides a column of steam rising off a pile of boulders. The lockpicker, a small adventurer with a backpack and bedroll, lunges at a locked chest with a key in hand while a mimic's claws reach out of an open chest behind him, on a flagstone floor with a brick wall, a shelf of jars, a barrel and the two chests. The elf mage with long blonde braids reads from an open spellbook, her twisted staff with a hanging mushroom lantern planted beside her, with a backpack and bedroll, a crate and folded blanket, and a big red-capped walking mushroom on a stone slab.

What's in the kit

  • Resin pieces in total, by figure: 3 for the bearded warrior on the kraken, 5 for the knight on the wok, 8 for the lockpicker with the mimic, 5 for the elf mage with the mushroom.
  • Bearded warrior on the kraken, 3 pieces: the figure with his trident and tentacle, the cooking pot for his back, and the kraken base.
  • Knight on the wok, 5 pieces: the figure, the sword, the lidded wok, the steam column and the boulder base.
  • Lockpicker with the mimic, 8 pieces: the figure with his key, the mimic's claws, the open chest it comes out of, the locked chest, the barrel, the shelf of jars, the flagstone floor and the arched brick wall.
  • Elf mage with the mushroom, 5 pieces: the figure with her book, the staff, the backpack, the walking mushroom and the stone slab base.
  • Bearded warrior on the kraken: 92 mm (3.62 in) tall, 94 mm (3.70 in) wide and 69 mm (2.72 in) long (from the studio's scale sheet).
  • Knight on the wok: 138 mm (5.43 in) tall, 83 mm (3.27 in) wide and 63 mm (2.48 in) long (from the studio's scale sheet).
  • Lockpicker with the mimic: 67 mm (2.64 in) tall, 91 mm (3.58 in) wide and 86 mm (3.39 in) long (from the studio's scale sheet).
  • Elf mage with the mushroom: 87 mm (3.43 in) tall, 71 mm (2.80 in) wide and 103 mm (4.06 in) long (from the studio's scale sheet).

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: intermediate

  • The knight's scene stacks in a column: boulder base, steam column, wok, then the figure on the wok lid. The steam column and the wok have square sockets; glue from the bottom up and let each join set.
  • The lockpicker's scene has the most small props. Dry-fit the shelf, barrel and chests on the floor before gluing so they sit clear of his backpack.
  • Thin parts: the knight's sword and winged crossguard, the mage's staff loop and its hanging lantern, the mimic's claw tips and the shelf uprights.
  • The bearded warrior is the quickest build: the figure goes onto the kraken and the pot onto his back.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
