IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 12 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art chibi of the young blonde soldier from a military fantasy anime, standing square with one hand on her hip and a bolt-action rifle held low in the other, its barrel angled down past the edge of the base. She has a big shaggy bob of yellow hair with pointed side tufts, a single looped strand standing up from the crown, a fringe across her forehead and a long ponytail at the back. Her cyan eyes sit under sharply angled brows, and she wears a wide, toothy grin. Her dark green military tunic has a stand collar and red piping along the collar, front edges, hem, shoulder straps and cuffs, with a round brooch at the collar, a winged medal and two small bars pinned on the front, two rows of studs and a belt with a round buckle. Loose green trousers go into calf-high brown boots with ankle straps. She stands on a round patch of earth with flat flagstones under her boots, scattered pebbles and a broken rock behind one boot.

What's in the kit

  • 12 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 10 pieces: the head, two hair pieces (the fringe and the ponytail), the tunic, the trousers, two sleeves, the hand on her hip and two boots.
  • Accessories, 1 piece: the right hand gripping the rifle, sculpted together.
  • Base, 1 piece: the round rocky base with flagstones, pebbles and a broken rock.
  • Height: 132.7 mm (5.22 in) tall on its base, measured from the sculptor's single-piece file of the finished figure.
  • Tallest single piece in the kit: the head, 51.6 mm (2.03 in) in the sculptor's file.
  • Rocky base: 72.5 × 71.9 mm (2.85 × 2.83 in) across in the sculptor's file.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: intermediate

  • The rifle is sculpted onto the right hand as a single part, with a thin barrel reaching well out from a wrist join. Support it along its length and fit it last.
  • The looped strand on top of the head, the pointed hair tufts and the ponytail tips are thin points.
  • The head is the heaviest part and sits on a small tunic and two small boots. Pin the head, and pin both boots to the base.
  • The hand on the hip and both boots are tiny parts that are easy to lose in the wash.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
