Chibi Eyepatch Swordsman Resin Garage Kit – Giant Cleaver Blade, Skull Pile & Yellow Flame on Rock Base (Unpainted, 14 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 14 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art chibi of the wild, battle-hungry swordsman captain from a long-running anime about sword-wielding spirit warriors. He crouches low on a slab of gray rock, his right bare foot planted on a heap of skulls and his left back on the stone, leaning forward with a wide grin that shows both rows of teeth. His right hand rests on a bandage-wrapped hilt over his shoulder, and the huge cleaver-shaped blade rises above his head, with a wavy temper line, a squared khaki spine and a knotted green tassel. His left fist punches out through a torn sleeve. A riveted black eyepatch covers one eye, a long scar runs down the other side of his face, and his long black hair is swept back in thick spikes. He wears a black coat open to the waist over a sculpted chest, with a white collar band, sleeves torn into ragged edges, wide black trousers and a white sash tied in a bow. A tall yellow flame climbs up from the back corner of the base, behind his shoulder. A diamond plaque with a two-stroke mark is set into the front of the rock.
What's in the kit
- 14 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 10 pieces: the head with hair and eyepatch, the open-coat torso, the wide trousers, two torn sleeves, two hands, two bare feet and the sash bow.
- Sword, 2 pieces: the bandage-wrapped hilt and the giant cleaver blade with its tassel.
- Base, 2 pieces: the rock with the skull pile and plaque, and the tall flame.
- Tallest single piece: the flame, 178.7 mm (7.04 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height or scale, so I don't list one.
- Rock base: 114.2 × 117.1 mm (4.50 × 4.61 in) across, from the sculptor's file.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- The flame is the tallest part and ends in thin forked tips. It anchors at the back corner of the rock; pin it, and dry-fit it together with the blade, since both sit behind his right shoulder.
- The blade is a large flat piece held up by a thin hilt and an open hand. Pin the blade to the hilt.
- The whole figure stands on two small bare feet. Pin both feet into the rock and up into the trousers.
- The hair spikes, the torn sleeve and coat edges, the trailing bandage on the hilt and the small sash bow are all thin.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
