IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 4 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art chibi of the timid boy from a recent supernatural action anime, in his transformed form. He crouches low on a base of cracked stone slabs with his knees bent and both hands curled like claws, and his huge head pitches forward so far that the point of his mask hangs out past his toes. His hair is a mass of off-white flame-shaped locks edged in red, with two locks curling down over the forehead and two red stripes running down over his narrowed red eyes. Round wire glasses sit on his nose. The lower half of his face is a black mask that wraps from cheek to cheek and narrows to a point, holding two rows of large square white teeth, with red flame shapes flaring from its sides. He wears a black school jacket with gold buttons, black trousers rolled to mid-shin and no shoes, and a ragged red drape hangs from his shoulders down his back. The base is a round black plinth topped with pitted, broken gray stone slabs.

What's in the kit

  • 4 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 3 pieces: the head with the flame hair and toothy mask, the body with both arms, the red drape and bare feet, and the round glasses.
  • Base, 1 piece: the round plinth with cracked stone slabs.
  • Largest single piece: the head, 69.8 mm (2.75 in) tall in the sculptor's file. I don't list an assembled height.
  • Round base: 54.5 mm (2.15 in) across in the sculptor's file.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The head is far heavier than the small body and leans out over the toes. Pin the head to the body, and pin both feet into the base.
  • The glasses are a fine wire frame. Clip their supports off with care, and glue them on last, after painting.
  • The flame locks at the back of the hair and the ragged tips of the drape are thin points.
  • Nearly every hair lock has a thin red edge, and the two rows of teeth are sculpted one by one: patient brush work.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
