Chibi Masked White-Haired Antihero Resin Garage Kit – Red Scaled Tentacles, Shackles & Checkered Tile Base (Unpainted, 19 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 19 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art chibi of the white-haired college student turned half-monster from a dark-fantasy horror anime. He stands with his feet apart and his head tipped down, looking out from under long white bangs, one hand raised at waist height with the thumb pressed to a curled finger and the other arm hanging loose. A glossy black leather mask covers his nose and jaw with a wide toothed grin, and a stitched, riveted panel covers one eye; the other eye is black with a bright red ringed iris. He wears a black short-sleeved top with a high rolled collar and frayed edges, knee-length gray shorts with torn hems, and goes barefoot, with heavy silver shackles and short broken chains on both wrists and ankles. Four long red tentacles covered in glossy scales come from his lower back and loop around him in wide arcs. The square base is a black plinth topped with checkered white and black tiles, with a bloodied white hockey-style mask, a blood pool, open pliers and red-and-black crawling bugs at his feet.
What's in the kit
- 19 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 9 pieces: the torso, the shorts, two legs, two arms, the masked head and the hair in two pieces.
- Tentacles, 9 pieces: the segments of the four red tentacles.
- Base, 1 piece: the square checkered plinth with the mask, blood pool, pliers and bugs sculpted on.
- Tallest single piece: a tentacle segment, 44.3 mm (1.74 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height or scale, so I don't list one.
- Square base: 69.8 × 69.8 mm (2.75 × 2.75 in) across in the sculptor's file.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- Nine tentacle segments build four long arcs that all hang from one small area at the lower back. Pin every segment join and the joins at the back.
- The legs are slender and take the leverage of the tentacles. Pin both feet into the base, and build the tentacles out after the figure is fixed down.
- The fingers, the wrist and ankle chains, the frayed hems and the bugs on the base are fine detail.
- The tentacles, top and blood read as high gloss; plan on mixing gloss and matte varnish.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
