Chibi Relief Picture Frame Plaque Resin Garage Kit – Choose a Design, with Display Stand: Swordsman, Armored Warrior, Basketball Player, Skull Sorcerer or Whirlwind Heroine (Unpainted, 3 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 3 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
Sculpted relief plaques to paint yourself: each is a chibi figure standing out in high relief inside a portrait frame, with its own small display stand. It's a sculpted picture, not a frame for photos. Every design shares the same frame: a stepped, layered border with notched corners, a header plate with the studio's name, a name plate across the bottom with raised lettering, and a back panel covered in slanting raised dashes like rain. Choose the design. The spiky-haired swordsman stands relaxed in an open jacket, sash and wide trousers, hand pushed into his waistband, on jagged rubble. The armored warrior wears armor from helmet to greaves, raises one finger with a starburst at its tip, and has a bead chain ending in a stinger and a sweeping cape, beside a broken column with a small scorpion. The basketball player grins under a big pompadour, holding a ball at shoulder height, in a numbered tank-top jersey, shorts and high-tops on paving stones. The hooded skull sorcerer holds a long staff topped with a ram's skull and reaches out with clawed fingers, on a rocky crag. The whirlwind heroine steps up off a spiraling wind with her hair and cape billowing.
What's in the kit
- 3 resin pieces in total, per design.
- Each design is 3 resin pieces: the framed relief (figure, scenery, border and plates as a single piece) and the display stand, which comes as two halves that slot together.
- Choose one design per variant: spiky-haired swordsman, armored warrior, basketball player, hooded skull sorcerer or whirlwind heroine.
- Frame: 100.6 × 61.3 mm (3.96 × 2.41 in) across the face in the sculptor's file, for the swordsman, armored warrior, basketball player and whirlwind heroine designs.
- Frame: 100.0 × 61.5 mm (3.94 × 2.42 in) across the face in the sculptor's file, for the hooded skull sorcerer design. The sculptor doesn't publish sizes or a scale.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: intermediate
- The two stand halves slot together and the frame sits in the stand's hooks. A dot of glue at the joint and in each hook fixes it for good.
- The relief has fine raised detail (the rain-dash panel, hair spikes, armor edges, starburst points) that a wash and drybrush bring out.
- The figures stand well off the back panel in places (the swordsman's hair and rubble, the heroine's wind wisps), so reaching behind them with a brush takes some care.
- Each frame is a single solid piece, so sanding is limited to support marks on the back and edges.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
