IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 15 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art chibi of the hot-tempered young swordswoman from a popular fantasy reincarnation anime, standing with her boots planted apart on a rock outcrop. Her left hand rests on her hip and her raised right hand holds a curved sabre back over her shoulder, with the gold hilt beside her cheek. Her long crimson hair blows hard out to one side, well past the edge of the base, with a black hairband, a single upright strand on top and pointed bangs over a scowl and a small, sure-of-herself smirk. She wears a white long-sleeved shirt with a stand collar and a small brown bow, a short tan leather vest with darker piping, a wide tan belt with a silver fitting over a white zigzag shirt hem, puffy dark brown shorts, dark knee socks and tan leather boots with two buckled straps each, plus a strapped leather pouch at the back of the belt. The base is a layered rock slab with a tall jagged rock behind her, a cluster of smaller rocks and loose pebbles.

What's in the kit

  • 15 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 13 pieces: the head, the front hair, the long back hair, two loose side locks, the torso, the collar bow, two arms, the right hand with the sabre, the waist with the belt and shorts, and two legs in boots.
  • Accessory, 1 piece: the leather pouch for the back of the belt.
  • Base, 1 piece: the rock outcrop.
  • Tallest single piece: the back hair, 97.0 mm (3.82 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height or scale, so I don't list one.
  • Rock base: 102.8 × 92.3 mm (4.05 × 3.63 in) across in the sculptor's file.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: intermediate

  • The long back hair is the largest figure piece and hangs out to one side of the head. Pin the head to the torso and both boots into the base.
  • The sabre blade is thin and comes on the hand piece, so the hand-to-arm join takes leverage.
  • The collar bow and the two loose side locks are small, thin pieces that glue onto visible spots at the collar and shoulders. Dry-fit them first.
  • Three browns sit side by side on the vest, belt, shorts and boots, so keeping them distinct takes care when painting.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
