Chibi Anime Mastermind Resin Garage Kit – Bone-Handled Scythe, Cream Jacket & Red Tie, Black Notebook & Skull Slate Base (Unpainted, 9 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design, plus the studio's photos of its own unpainted test prints. Your kit arrives as 9 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art chibi of the cool, brown-haired mastermind from a famous psychological-thriller anime. He steps forward on a slab of cracked slate with one knee bent, his left hand held out at chest height, palm up, and his right hand gripping the long shaft of a scythe that rises behind his back to a hooked tip above his head. The scythe's nicked and cracked crescent blade sweeps across the front of the base, bound to the shaft with straps and a grip of knuckled bones. He has a big round head with a golden-brown bob, a heavy fringe falling between narrowed brown eyes, and a flat, unbothered look. He wears an open cream jacket over a white shirt, a long red tie knotted loose, a black belt with a silver buckle, charcoal trousers and black shoes. The base is a black two-step plinth topped with cracked dark slate, with a tall broken slab behind him, a black notebook with white gothic lettering leaning against it, a scowling skull at his feet and two curved bone spikes rising from the rubble.
What's in the kit
- 9 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 6 pieces: head, front hair piece, torso with the jacket, shirt and tie, left arm, right arm with the long scythe shaft, and legs.
- Scythe blade, 1 piece: the blade with its bone grip.
- Base, 2 pieces: the slate base with the skull and bone spikes, and the black notebook.
- Studio size: 115 mm (4.53 in) tall, 80 mm (3.15 in) wide and 65 mm (2.56 in) deep (from Tanuki Figures' notes for this kit).
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: intermediate
- The right arm carries the whole scythe shaft, which is long and thin and runs up behind his back. Support-removal marks along it need gentle sanding, and it goes on after the torso.
- The scythe blade joins the shaft below his hand. Dry-fit it so the blade sits across the front of the base before gluing.
- The front hair piece fits into a socket on the forehead, and the joins use square pegs. The left hand's fingers and the blade's edge and point are thin.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
