Chibi Striped Demon Fighter Resin Garage Kit – Mid-Leap Martial Artist, Dust Column & Crater Base with Spike Bursts (Unpainted, 21 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 21 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art chibi of the striped martial-artist demon from a hit demon-hunting anime, caught mid-leap as he bursts up out of a cloud of dust. His right knee is pulled up high, his left leg reaches down so only the toes touch a rock at the crater's edge, his right fist is cocked beside his head and his left arm thrusts forward with the hand open and the fingers held together like a blade. He looks out from under spiky magenta-pink hair. His pale blue-gray skin is covered in dark blue stripes: down the forehead, in bands over each eye and cheek, in a crossing lattice over his chest and back, and in rings around his arms; his fingers and toes are solid blue. His eyes are gold with a dark character in each iris and blue whites, with pink flicks on the lids and a pink stroke over each brow, and his mouth is a thin smirk. He wears a short, open, sleeveless coral-pink vest with a stand-up collar, a twisted turquoise rope sash with a pink tassel at each hip, loose off-white trousers bunched at the calf, and a strand of large red beads around each bare ankle. The base is a crater of tumbling dust clouds carved with spiral swirls, rising into a twisting column on one side and a lower plume behind him, with charcoal rock chunks around the rim and in the column, and cyan spike bursts breaking out of the ground.
What's in the kit
- 21 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 8 pieces: the hair, the face, the torso with the open vest, two arms, the trousers, and two lower legs with bare feet and bead anklets.
- Effects, 7 pieces: cyan spike bursts that set into the ground and rocks.
- Base, 6 pieces: the crater with its dust column, plume and rocks, in six sections.
- Tallest single piece: a section of the dust-cloud base, 114.7 mm (4.52 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height or scale, so I don't list one.
- Base: 126.1 × 121.3 mm (4.96 × 4.78 in) across and 167.6 mm (6.60 in) tall with its dust column, from the sculptor's single-piece file of the same base.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- The seven cyan spike bursts are thin and very small; the smallest is a tiny cluster that is easy to lose. Clean them with care.
- The base comes in six sections, so there are seams through the carved dust swirls to fill and re-scribe. Dry-fit all six before gluing.
- Only the toes of one foot touch the rock. Pin that foot into the base, and pin the open forward arm, which reaches past the edge of the base.
- The hair is a crown of pointed locks, and the vest edges and collar are thin.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
