IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 43 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

He stands square at the front of the base with a dagger held low in each hand: a black blade with a wavy red line and a gold hooked pommel in one, and a curved translucent blue blade with a forked gold guard in the other. His black hair falls in choppy layers over glowing cyan eyes and a stern face. He wears a long dark plum-black hooded coat, open, with the sleeves pushed up and the tails flaring behind him, a plain light gray T-shirt, slim navy trousers and black sneakers with pale gray ankle panels. What's in the kit

  • 43 resin pieces in total.
  • Front figure, 8 pieces: the hair, the head, the long hooded coat, the legs, two arms and two hands holding the daggers.
  • Winged companion, 15 pieces: the torso, the head with antennae, two main arms, two small arms, two clawed hands, two legs, the tail section and four wing pieces.
  • Base, 2 pieces: the floating rock in two sections.
  • Effects, 18 pieces: ten purple flame and pale wisp pieces and eight lightning pieces.
  • Tallest single piece: one of the companion's legs, 103.9 mm (4.09 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height or scale, so I don't list one.
  • Rock base: two sections, 105.6 × 67.2 mm (4.16 × 2.65 in) and 113.1 × 56.5 mm (4.45 × 2.22 in) across in the sculptor's files. The lightning and antennae reach well past the rock.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • This is a 43-piece kit with two figures and 18 small effect pieces, and no layout sheet; placement comes from the renders.
  • The companion's armored upper body sits on two long separate legs and leans forward over the front figure. Pin both hips and both feet.
  • The front figure's head and hair outweigh its coat and legs. Pin the head to the coat and the legs into the rock.
  • The antennae, wings, lightning branches and flame tips are very thin; the smallest effect piece is only a few millimetres across. Dry-fit both figures on the rock before gluing, and add the flames last.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

Shipping and returns

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
