IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 19 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art chibi of the original white mecha from the classic giant-robot anime. It stands in a wide, braced stance with a red shield held across its left side and, in the right hand, a black rifle pointed low or a glowing pink-red blade raised to the side. Both right hands are in the box, so you can swap them as you like. The head is close to half its height: a white V-shaped fin across the forehead with a red crest, angled yellow eyes over a white faceplate with chevron vents and a red chin, round yellow ports at the temples and slatted gray ducts at the sides. Below it are a blue chest with yellow vents and collar, a red abdomen, boxy white shoulders, a white waist skirt with yellow blocks, gray joints, white knee armor and lower legs, red toe caps, and a white backpack with thruster covers and two ribbed blade hilts standing up behind the shoulders. The shield is an elongated red hexagon in a white rim with a yellow four-pointed star-cross. It stands on a many-sided charcoal deck plate with a stepped rim and light gray clamp blocks.

What's in the kit

  • 19 resin pieces in total.
  • Robot, 13 pieces: head, chest, backpack, waist, two arms, the left fist that holds the shield, two thighs, two lower legs with feet, and two red toe caps.
  • Gear, 5 pieces: the shield, two blade hilts for the backpack, the right fist holding the rifle, and the right fist holding the glowing blade. Both right hands are in the box; swap them as you like.
  • Base, 1 piece: the deck base.
  • Tallest single piece: the shield, 68.7 mm (2.70 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height or scale, so I don't list one.
  • Deck base: 102.7 × 94.7 mm (4.04 × 3.73 in) across in the sculptor's file.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: intermediate

  • The head's V-fin tips are thin points, and the two backpack blade hilts are tiny.
  • The left fist that carries the shield is a small part holding a large one. Dry-fit the shield before gluing.
  • The rifle barrel and the long glowing blade are thin. The blade can be painted or left for a translucent finish if you paint it yourself. Both right hands are in the box; pin the right hand without glue if you want to swap them.
  • Most color breaks fall between parts (red toe caps, head, chest), so painting before gluing works well.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

Shipping and returns

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
