IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 6 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art bust of the quiet, long-haired rogue ninja from a famous ninja anime, cut at mid-chest and set on a short post above a round pedestal. His head is tipped down and a little to one side, eyes lowered and mouth set, with lines sculpted under the eyes. His long hair is parted in the center with strands falling either side of his face and a low ponytail at the back, under a riveted metal forehead plate with a sculpted emblem. He wears a cloak with a tall, flared collar with ragged edges and a coarse woven texture, over a mesh undershirt with a net V at the throat and a cord necklace with a small pendant. Above him two crows take flight with their wings spread wide, one lifting away with its beak open and the other gripping the top of his hair as it takes off, with feather wisps trailing from its wing. The pedestal is a stepped round plinth with four angular lugs around the rim. The studio's renders are unpainted gray; the cloak's cloud pattern is paint work.

What's in the kit

  • 6 resin pieces in total.
  • Bust, 3 pieces: the head, a loose hair strand, and the chest with the cloak, collar, mesh shirt and necklace.
  • Crows, 2 pieces: the two crows with spread wings.
  • Pedestal, 1 piece: the round plinth with its post.
  • Studio size: 1:6 scale, 124 mm (4.88 in) tall, 161 mm (6.34 in) wide and 110 mm (4.33 in) deep (from Tanuki Figures' printing and scale guide).
  • Scale: 1:6 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • Both crows hang above the bust on thin wings, one perched on the top of the hair by its talons. Pin each crow and fit them after the head is glued.
  • The loose hair strand is small and thin; fit it with tweezers.
  • The collar tips and the crows' wing feathers are thin points that break easily during support removal.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
