IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 11 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art bust of the lightning-fast young swordsman from a hit demon-hunting anime. His head is tipped forward and his eyes are closed. He holds his sword sheathed across his body, one fist on the wrapped hilt above a round guard and the other around the scabbard low down, its tip running past the edge of the base. His shaggy hair is built from blunt-cut strands stacked in layers, with a long fringe over his brow. Over a high-collared uniform jacket in a basket-weave texture, with round buttons, a small chest tab and a buckled belt, he wears an open, hip-length coat in a pebbled knit covered in raised triangles, its wide sleeves flaring out to the sides as if caught in a gust. Three zigzag lightning bolts run around him: one behind his shoulder, one across his sleeve and a long one wrapping around his back. The bust stands on a short post over a round plinth with angular buttress blocks. The renders are unpainted gray.

What's in the kit

  • 11 resin pieces in total.
  • Bust, 7 pieces: head and hair, the uniform torso, the coat body, two arms in their sleeves, the right fist with the hilt and the left fist with the scabbard.
  • Lightning, 3 pieces: three zigzag bolts.
  • Base, 1 piece: the round plinth with its post.
  • Studio size: 1:6 scale, 157 mm (6.18 in) tall, 178 mm (7.01 in) wide and 104 mm (4.09 in) deep (from Tanuki Figures' printing and scale guide).
  • Scale: 1:6 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: intermediate

  • The coat sleeves flare far out to the sides and are thin at the hems. Pin the arms at the shoulders.
  • The sword is carried by the two hand pieces. Dry-fit both fists together so the hilt and the scabbard line up before gluing.
  • The three lightning bolts are separate and thin. Glaze them for a glow, and fit them last.
  • The hair is built from many flat, blunt strands with thin ends. Clip their supports slowly.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
