IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 25 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the lightning-fast young swordsman from a hit demon-hunting anime. He stands square on a broken timber floor with his feet apart and his eyes closed, in the still moment before a draw. His right hand grips the hilt of his sheathed sword at chest height and his left holds the scabbard low by his hip, so the sword runs across his body. His shaggy, blunt-cut hair shades from yellow on top to orange at the tips. He wears a black high-collared uniform with white piping, round white buttons and a pale belt, wide black trousers gathered at the calf, triangle-patterned leg wraps tied with small white bows, and sandals over black socks. Over it hangs an open, hip-length coat in a woven texture, yellow at the shoulders shading to orange at the hems and covered in white triangles, its sleeves flaring wide. The hilt is wrapped in white over black, with a gold guard and a scabbard mouth marked with a yellow lightning bolt. The base is a stack of dark marbled stone tiers in an octagon with gold corner caps and gold scroll ornaments, topped with a slab of splintered timber. What's in the kit

  • 25 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 11 pieces: head and hair, torso, legs, two feet with sandals and leg wraps, two arms, the right hand on the hilt, the left hand with the scabbard, and the coat in two halves.
  • Figure lightning, 5 pieces: five small lightning fragments that sit on the figure.
  • Base, 2 pieces: the stone tiers and timber top in two halves.
  • Base lightning, 7 pieces: the big arc behind him, the tall ribbons and the smaller shards that rise from the base.
  • Studio size: 1:6 scale, 373 mm (14.69 in) tall, 200 mm (7.87 in) wide and 203 mm (7.99 in) deep (from Tanuki Figures' printing and scale guide).
  • Scale: 1:6 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The base comes in two halves and carries seven lightning pieces, including a tall arc that rises above his head. Build and pin the base and the big arc before the figure goes on.
  • The coat comes in two halves. Dry-fit them around the torso before gluing and fill the seam.
  • A yellow glaze over the lightning gives it a glow. The thin ribbons and small fragments are fragile; fit the small ones on the figure last.
  • He stands on both sandals on the timber top. Pin the feet into the base.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
