IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 13 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the calm, long-haired rogue ninja from a famous ninja anime, shown as his cloak breaks apart into a flock of crows. He stands with his weight on one leg and one arm thrust forward, the hand open and fingers spread toward the viewer, his gaze level along the arm. His black hair is parted over one eye, with a low ponytail at the back and a forehead protector whose engraved metal plate is scored by a single scratch. His eyes are red, he wears a silver necklace with a small pendant, and his nails are painted purple. The long dark cloak has a tall red-lined collar and red cloud shapes outlined in white on the chest, the skirt and the back; its sleeves have come loose and float beside him as bell-shaped cuffs, and its torn edges peel away into crows with spread wings. Under the cloak he wears a dark shirt with mesh at the neckline, white leg wraps and open-toed sandals. He stands on a disc of cracked rock with black flames rising around the back and sides.

What's in the kit

  • 13 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure and cloak, 9 pieces: head, front hair, ponytail, the outstretched forearm and hand, legs with sandals, and the torso and cloak in four sections with crows.
  • Sleeves, 2 pieces: the two floating bell-shaped cuffs, each with a crow.
  • Base, 2 pieces: the rock disc and the black flames, in two sections.
  • Studio size: 189 mm (7.44 in) tall, 164 mm (6.46 in) wide and 122 mm (4.80 in) long (from the studio's scale sheet).
  • Scale: about 1:10 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:10 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The two sleeve cuffs float free of the body and attach at small contact points. Dry-fit them and pin both.
  • The figure stands on the two-part base on its sandals. Pin the legs into the base.
  • The four cloak sections meet on smooth dark cloth. Plan to fill and sand those seams.
  • Thin parts: the crow wings and tail feathers, the flame tips, the spread fingers, the front hair and the ponytail.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
