IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 15 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the caped swordswoman from an anime-style action game series. She stands over a slain creature with one thigh-high boot planted on its head and the other leg reaching down to the rock behind it, a rapier held low in her right hand and a gloved finger raised to her lips. She wears a crimson cape with a tall collar and white piping, a glossy fitted dress with white comet-shaped panels and a high slit, two-tone opera gloves, and stiletto boots with blade-shaped ankle guards. Her very long pale pink hair streams out to one side. The base is the creature's severed head on a bed of gray rock, with an open toothed jaw, a clawed limb curling over the top and painted blood running down to the stones.

What's in the kit

  • 15 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 9 pieces: head, front hair, the long hair in two pieces, torso, two arms and two legs.
  • Clothing, 3 pieces: the skirt and the cape in two pieces.
  • Sword, 1 piece: the rapier.
  • Base, 2 pieces: the creature head and rock in two halves.
  • Tallest single piece: one of the two long hair pieces, 175.7 mm (6.92 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
  • Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The figure stands on two stiletto boots, one on the creature's head and one on the rock. Pin both feet into the base, and seat the legs before the hair and cape go on.
  • The base comes in two large halves. The seam runs through sculpted hide and blood, so expect to fill and re-texture it.
  • The long hair is heavy and hangs out to one side. Pin it.
  • The cape comes in two pieces that join across its textured outer face, and the rapier blade is long and thin.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
