IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 23 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of a veteran cyborg gunman from a recent sci-fi anime series. He strides forward with one boot up on a raised block of broken machinery, a chunky pistol held muzzle-up beside his head and a mechanical hand open at his side. He is an older man with slicked-back blond hair going gray, a short goatee, small round tinted glasses, a metal plate in his temple, and a black cybernetic collar with red lights in place of his jaw and throat. His long gray duster flares out behind him to show a teal lining, over a ribbed sweater, loose trousers and boots with lit strips. The base is a slab of scrap metal and machinery with hoses, cables, red lit panels and a brass plate along the front edge.

What's in the kit

  • 23 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 12 pieces: head with the round glasses, hair, the cybernetic collar, torso, belt, two arms, two hands, the legs and two boots.
  • Coat, 2 pieces: the long duster in two sections.
  • Base, 9 pieces: seven scrap-metal sections and two cables.
  • Tallest single piece: the legs, 157.1 mm (6.19 in) in the sculptor's file. The finished figure stands much taller once the torso, head and base are added. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
  • Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The base comes in seven sections plus two cables. Dry-fit them into one slab before gluing, so the raised boot lands on its block.
  • The coat is two large pieces that flare out behind him. Pin them, and fill the seam where they meet.
  • The head, hair and cybernetic collar stack at the neck, so dry-fit them together first.
  • The pistol, the mechanical fingers and the glasses are thin and delicate.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
