Anime Dark Armored Hunter Resin Garage Kit – Planted Greatsword, Magenta Flame Base with Crested Helmet and Antennaed Head (Unpainted, 19 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 19 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art statue of the dark-haired hunter from a hit Korean fantasy series, in his armored form of shadow. He walks slowly forward with his arms held out from his sides. He wears a near-black bodysuit with a fine fibrous texture under glossy violet armor plates on the forearms, thighs, shins and boots, each edged in glowing magenta lines, with a glowing four-pointed sigil on the chest and thin glowing lines running down the abdomen. Black smoke-like tendrils curl off his right shoulder and around his hips. His eyes glow magenta, and a jagged magenta lightning flash sparks from one eye. The base is a slab of cracked gray stone on a dark round plinth, ringed by tall translucent magenta flames. This listing is the greatsword build on the base with two small heads: his right hand holds a huge pale-blue greatsword with dark crack veins, driven point-first into the stone, and his left hand holds a dark purple dagger with a red edge. Two small dark heads rise from the flames, a horned helmet with a swept red crest and an insect-like head with long thin antennae. The twin-dagger build and the greatsword build on the plain flame base are sold as separate listings. A second right hand for this pose, holding a dagger instead of the greatsword, is also in the box (it isn't shown in the photos).
What's in the kit
- 19 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 6 pieces: head, the eye lightning effect, left arm, left hand with the dark dagger, and both legs.
- Greatsword upper body, 4 pieces: torso with the shoulder tendrils, right arm, the right hand with the greatsword, and a second right hand that holds a dagger instead.
- Base with the two heads, 9 pieces: the base in two halves, a plug, four flame pieces, the crested helmet and the antennaed head.
- Studio size: 351 mm (13.82 in) tall, 288 × 288 mm (11.34 × 11.34 in) (from the studio's store page for this model).
- Tallest single piece: the right hand with the greatsword, 251.7 mm (9.91 in), in the sculptor's files.
- The base comes in two halves; the wider half is 192.0 mm (7.56 in) across in the sculptor's file.
- Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- Each base comes in two large halves plus a plug. Join and fill the halves first, then seat the four flame pieces and the two small heads.
- He stands on two long legs in a walking pose. Pin both ankles into the base and the hips into the torso.
- The blade's point rests in the base while the hand holds the grip, so dry-fit the arm, hand and base together before gluing any of them.
- Fragile parts: the eye lightning effect (glue it on last), the antennae, the flame tips and the dagger blade.
- The greatsword hand and the dagger hand share one wrist. Pin the hand without glue if you want to swap them.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
