IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 30 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the silver-haired elf mage from a popular fantasy anime, caught mid-spell. She balances on one boot on a broken rock with the other leg lifted behind her. One hand holds a staff with a red-jeweled crescent head low at her side, and a glowing disc with a black center floats over the open palm of the other. Three glowing wind spirals wind up around her legs, carrying chunks of rock. She wears a white capelet with gold trim over a belted white tunic, a short skirt, dark tights and brown boots, with long pointed ears and high twin tails blowing out to the sides. The base is a round stone pedestal with a gold band and inset gems and a small sword planted at the front, topped with a rock mound, grass, blue flowers and a low brick wall.

What's in the kit

  • 30 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 11 pieces: head, front fringe, two twin tails, torso, two arms, the open hand, legs and two boots.
  • Clothing, 5 pieces: the capelet in two halves, the skirt in two halves and the ribbon with its crystal end.
  • Staff and spell, 3 pieces: the staff shaft, the crescent staff head and the floating disc.
  • Wind spirals, 8 pieces: three spirals in sections.
  • Base, 3 pieces: the round pedestal, the rock mound with grass, flowers and brick wall, and the small sword.
  • Tallest single piece: the legs, 107.4 mm (4.23 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
  • Base: the round pedestal is 116.8 × 116.4 mm (4.60 × 4.58 in) in the sculptor's file.
  • Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • She stands on a single boot, so the whole figure hangs off one contact point. Pin it into the rock.
  • The three wind spirals come in 8 sections that pass close to her legs and skirt. Dry-fit the spirals and the figure together and work out the gluing order first.
  • The ribbon, the staff shaft, the sword and the wind sections are thin. Clip supports rather than snapping them off.
  • The capelet and skirt halves join on smooth white cloth. Fill and sand those seams.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
