IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 5 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art bust of the giant bear warrior summoned from the shadows in a hit Korean fantasy series. It takes his head, the flame crest, the shoulders and the chest, with the arms ending above the elbow, and narrows to a point on a round cracked-stone pedestal. His head is pushed forward between heavy shoulders in a snarl, with two long tusks rising from the lower jaw and scar marks through one brow, and his fur is sculpted as layered pointed tufts. Flames rise from his brow in a crest, curl over both shoulders and run across the chest in a jagged X in raised relief. The studio shows the bust only as an unpainted gray render. This listing is the bust, 5 pieces. The full figure on its rock plinth is sold as a separate listing.

What's in the kit

  • 5 resin pieces in total.
  • Bust, 4 pieces: the chest with the head and crest, the lower chest, and both upper arms.
  • Base, 1 piece: the round cracked-stone pedestal.
  • Bust pedestal: 161.6 × 162.2 mm (6.36 × 6.39 in) across in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish the bust's height, so I don't list one.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • This is a big, heavy bust. The chest with the head is a very large part.
  • I print the chest, the lower chest and the pedestal hollow, so fill the small drain holes before priming.
  • The join between the chest and the lower chest runs straight across the bottom of the flame X. Plan to fill it and carry the fur and flame detail across the seam.
  • Thin parts: the flame tips on the crest and shoulders, the tusks and the scars.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

Shipping and returns

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
