IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 27 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the pink-haired gothic girl who commands little ghosts, from a famous anime pirate series. She stands square on a ruined castle wall, a red scalloped umbrella with a spiral handle resting on one shoulder and her other hand on her hip, with a small gold crown on her head and two long drill curls hanging from high pigtails. She wears a white crop top with a skull print and a big pink collar bow, a short red capelet with white fur trim, ruffled red cuffs, a red mini skirt with white stars and a scalloped hem, a belt with a pink heart buckle, black-and-white striped tights and red buckled knee boots. Three round white ghosts with their tongues out drift around her and up the wall. The base is a round pedestal with gothic arches around the rim, topped by a ruined stone wall with a rose window, broken blocks, thorny vines and red roses.

What's in the kit

  • 27 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 13 pieces: head, fringe, two drill curls, crown, torso, midriff with belt, two arms, the hand that holds the umbrella, the legs and two boots.
  • Clothing, 4 pieces: the skirt, the capelet in two halves and the collar bow.
  • Ghosts, 3 pieces: three separate ghosts.
  • Umbrella, 3 pieces: the canopy and two shaft and handle pieces.
  • Base, 4 pieces: the round pedestal and three ruined wall sections.
  • Tallest single piece: the tall wall section with the rose window, 156.9 mm (6.18 in) in the sculptor's file. The finished figure stands taller once she is on the pedestal with the umbrella. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
  • Base: the round pedestal is 139.4 × 138.0 mm (5.49 × 5.43 in) across in the sculptor's file. The ghost tails and umbrella handle reach a little past it.
  • Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • At 27 pieces this is a long build. Glue the pedestal and the three wall sections first, then fit the figure and the ghosts against the wall.
  • The two drill curls and the umbrella canopy hang off the figure. Pin them, and pin the boots into the base.
  • The midriff piece joins the torso to the skirt on bare skin, so fill and sand that seam before you paint.
  • The umbrella shaft, the hand, the collar bow, the fringe and the crown are small, thin parts. The ghosts are solid; their see-through look is paint or clear resin.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
