IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 25 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the long-haired armored fighter from a classic anime about mythic warriors in zodiac armor. He stands in a wide fighting stance, the left arm raised with the hand open and a round shield on the forearm, the right fist held low at the belt with a cloth wrap at the wrist. He wears a green armor set: a helmet shaped like a beast's head with a red eye, a crest of spikes, two swept-back horns and two long gold whisker antennae; shoulder plates with three silver claws each; a chest harness; a ring of pointed skirt plates with a gold buckle; green greaves and boots; and fingerless green gloves. Under the armor is a sleeveless lavender-blue bodysuit with leggings. His long black hair sweeps back and to one side in one heavy mass. The base is a heap of cracked blue-gray stone on a block with carved relief panels, with a translucent green energy swirl rising from the stone and coiling around his legs.

What's in the kit

  • 25 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 15 pieces: head, neck, helmet, the hair in four pieces (the main hair mass and three strands), torso, two shoulder plates, two arms, the legs with the skirt plates, and two boots.
  • Shield, 2 pieces: the round shield and its second piece.
  • Base, 3 pieces: three stone chunks that make up the cracked stone base.
  • Energy swirl, 5 pieces: two large sweeps and three smaller tendrils.
  • Studio size: 1:6 scale, 350 mm (13.78 in) tall, 250 mm (9.84 in) wide and 175 mm (6.89 in) deep (from Tanuki Figures' printing and scale guide).
  • Scale: 1:6 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The energy swirl is five separate pieces that thread between the three stone chunks and around his legs. Dry-fit the base, the swirl and the boots together before gluing. The swirl suits translucent green resin.
  • The main hair mass is a large piece that hangs off the back and side; pin it at the head.
  • The helmet spikes and antennae, the shoulder claws, the open fingers and the thin hair strands are fragile.
  • The boots carry the figure in a wide stance. Pin both.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
