IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 15 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art bust of the long-haired armored fighter from a classic anime about mythic warriors in zodiac armor, cut at the chest and caught in a fighting pose. His right arm is drawn back with the fist clenched and his left arm is raised out to the side with the hand open and the fingers curled, a round shield with a star-shaped boss strapped to that forearm. He wears a helmet shaped like a beast's head with cheek guards, two long curving horns and a fan of spikes, shoulder plates with three hooked talons each, a chest plate with a small square panel, and a grooved collar ring, with cloth wraps around both forearms. His long hair falls in two strands down the front and as a wide pleated cape down his back. The bust sits on a square post above a round plinth with angular tabs around the rim. The studio's renders are unpainted gray.

  • 15 resin pieces in total.
  • Bust, 8 pieces: head, neck, torso, two arms, helmet and two shoulder plates.
  • Hair, 4 pieces: the pleated hair cape for the back and three hair strands.
  • Shield, 2 pieces: the round shield in two pieces.
  • Base, 1 piece: the round plinth with its post.
  • Studio size: 153 mm (6.02 in) tall, 138 mm (5.43 in) wide and 162 mm (6.38 in) deep (from Tanuki Figures' notes file).

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: intermediate

  • The raised left arm reaches well out from the body with the shield on it. Pin it at the shoulder.
  • The helmet horns and spikes, the shoulder talons, the open fingers and the three thin hair strands are fragile.
  • The hair cape is a broad, thin pleated sheet that sets the back view; fit it after the head and helmet are on.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

Shipping and returns

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
