IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 18 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the green-haired mage with the scissors from a popular fantasy anime about an elf mage's long journey. She stands relaxed with her weight on one leg, a small amused smile on her face, holding a pair of open scissors up beside her head in one gloved hand. Her other hand trails a long staff that ends in a forked silver head with a green gem and a spike. Her green hair is pulled into a high side ponytail that flares out toward the scissors. She wears a black strapless top with white piping and thin straps that cross to a black choker, armbands, a gray belt with silver buckles and two long loose straps, a black pleated skirt with a white stripe at the hem, a band on one thigh and tall black boots with zips and buckled straps. The base is a round disc of sandy flagstones.

What's in the kit

  • 18 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 13 pieces: head, front hair, back hair, side ponytail, shoulders and arms, the raised gloved forearm and hand, the top, the choker with its straps, skirt, two legs and two boots.
  • Belt, 1 piece: the belt with its two hanging straps.
  • Props, 3 pieces: the staff, its center spike and the scissors.
  • Base, 1 piece: the round flagstone base.
  • Tallest single piece: the staff, 132.0 mm (5.20 in) in the sculptor's file. It is tilted in the file, and the sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
  • Round base: 82.0 × 82.0 mm (3.23 × 3.23 in) across in the sculptor's file.
  • Scale: about 1:10 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:10 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: intermediate

  • The staff is a long, thin rod. Remove any supports from it slowly and fit it to the hanging hand last.
  • The scissors and the choker straps are very thin. Handle them gently when removing supports.
  • The belt's two loose straps hang around the skirt and only touch it at the belt. Glue the belt on before the top so you can reach it.
  • Pin the boots to the base; most of her weight sits on one leg.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
