Anime Kunoichi Resin Garage Kit – Raised Bamboo Cup, Katana Across the Back & Stone Well Base (Unpainted, 20 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 20 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art statue of the cheerful kunoichi from a dark fantasy anime about condemned warriors sent to a mysterious island. She balances on one foot on the peak of a mossy rock, the other knee lifted and its foot tucked behind her standing calf, one arm stretched straight up with a short bamboo cup in her fist and the other folded behind her head. She has near-black violet hair in a high, flared topknot with a small gold ornament, blunt bangs and a small closed smile. She wears a sleeveless deep purple wrap top with a wide lapel, loose gathered purple trousers with ruffled cuffs at the knee, dark stockings to the toes, a white sash tied in a bow with two long streaming tails, cloth wraps on her wrists and bands on her upper arms. A sheathed katana rides level across her lower back, and bundles of bamboo canisters bound with rope hang from the sash. The base is a small garden scene: the mossy rock she stands on, a round stone well with a cut-stone course and a full basin, and a bamboo post with two spout tubes pouring a thin stream of water into the well.
What's in the kit
- 20 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 10 pieces: head, bangs, topknot, a small hair ornament, upper body, trousers, two forearms (one with the bamboo cup) and two lower legs.
- Sash, 1 piece: the bow with its two streaming tails.
- Katana, 1 piece.
- Base, 8 pieces: the mossy rock, the well's stone course, the well basin, the bamboo post, two spout tubes, the water stream and the water surface.
- Studio scale: 1:6 (from 3DMoon's store page for this model).
- Tallest single piece: the standing leg, 109.9 mm (4.33 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
- Rock she stands on: 80.7 × 76.2 mm (3.18 × 3.00 in) across in the sculptor's file.
- Scale: 1:6 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- The whole figure stands on one stockinged foot on the rock peak. Pin the standing leg into the rock and into the trousers.
- The water stream is a very thin piece that has to meet the spout at the top and the water surface at the bottom. A glaze and gloss coat give it and the water surface a wet look.
- The katana is long and thin, and the sash tails stick out to one side. The hair ornament is tiny.
- The rock and the trousers are the heaviest parts. I print them hollow, so fill the small drain holes before priming.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
