IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 3 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

The miniature version of a fan-art statue of the dark-haired military officer and fire-wielding alchemist from a famous fantasy anime: the same sculpt as the full-size figure, made smaller and in just three pieces. He stands square with his weight on both feet, his right arm thrown straight out at shoulder height with the fingers pinched for the snap, and his left arm hanging at his side with the gloved fist clenched. Lightning bursts from the snapping hand, forks back across his chest and arcs down behind him to the ground. His navy military coat is worn over his shoulders like a cape, both sleeves empty and blown out behind him, with a braided cord looped from one shoulder, and its long tails sweep out to one side. Under it he wears a white collared shirt with the sleeves pushed to the elbows, a wide belt, dark trousers and boots, and white gloves with a circle design on the back of the left hand. His black hair falls across his forehead and his face is stern, brow down, eyes on the outstretched hand. The base is a slab of cracked rock with loose shards, ringed by seven spiked smoke bursts, with the lightning reaching out past it on both sides. The studio's scale sheet gives the miniature as 73 mm tall. The full-size figure is sold as a separate listing.

  • Miniature: 73 mm (2.87 in) tall, 70 × 62 mm (2.76 × 2.44 in) footprint (from the studio's scale sheet).

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • Only three pieces: the figure, the rock base with the smoke, and the lightning. Glue the figure to the base first, then fit the lightning between the snapping hand and the rock.
  • The lightning is very fine at this size. Remove its supports slowly and dry-fit it before gluing.
  • Thin parts: the lightning tips, the smoke spikes and the snapping fingers.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
