IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 20 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the purple-haired mage apprentice from a popular fantasy anime. She stands braced on a stone slab with a long knotted wooden staff held across her body in both hands, its flared top banded in silver rings and wrapped in cord. Her long hair streams out to one side. She wears a long open dark coat over a white dress with a ruffled collar and a buttoned bodice, knee-high boots and a small crystal pendant. The base is a broken brick pillar on a round plinth with a ring of stone bricks, grass, small flowers and a closed book at the front, with a cracked boulder leaning behind her.

What's in the kit

  • 20 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 9 pieces: head, torso, legs, two boots and the hair in 4 sections.
  • Clothing, 4 pieces: the coat in two halves and the skirt in two halves.
  • Staff, 3 pieces: the staff in two halves (one with a socket) and a magic effect piece that plugs into the socket. The effect piece is optional and doesn't appear in any of the sculptor's renders.
  • Base, 4 pieces: the round plinth with bricks, grass and flowers, the broken pillar with the slab she stands on, the boulder and the book.
  • Tallest single piece: one half of the coat, 161.1 mm (6.34 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
  • Base: the round plinth is 119.0 × 116.9 mm (4.69 × 4.60 in) in the sculptor's file.
  • Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The big streaming hair section hangs off the back of the head with nothing under it. Pin it.
  • The staff comes in two long, thin halves that meet mid-shaft with her hands on them. Pin through the shaft.
  • The coat and skirt each come in two halves that meet on smooth cloth, so plan to fill and sand those seams.
  • The smallest hair piece and the staff tip are delicate.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

Shipping and returns

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
