IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 19 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the purple-haired explosive villain from a famous dark action anime. She balances on one foot on a tilted slab of broken concrete in the middle of a glowing explosion, her other leg drawn up with the knee turned out and the shoe tucked against her shin, one arm raised with the forearm across the back of her head and the other hanging loose, with a sly half-smile. She has short dark purple hair with a long strand of fringe across her face and a low bun at the back, and green eyes. She wears a sleeveless white collared shirt with a thin black ribbon tied at the collar and a black choker, dark high-waisted shorts with a belt, black stockings and brown strapped loafers. The base is a round dark plinth with glowing cracks under a burst of glowing fireballs and flame spikes, with broken concrete slabs and rusty rebar sticking up through the fire.

Both looks are in the box. The kit has the standard upper body described above and a second, helmet upper body that fits the same legs, shorts, pose and base: a round iron helmet with jagged teeth and black spikes and no face showing, a torso with a harness of thick twisted cord across the shirt, cord-wrapped forearms and hands, and a long bundle of dynamite sticks hanging down one side. Build whichever you like.

What's in the kit

  • 19 resin pieces in total. Both upper bodies are in the box.
  • Legs and shorts, 3 pieces: two legs with the shoes and the shorts, shared by both looks.
  • Base, 3 pieces: the round plinth and the explosion in two sections.
  • Standard upper body, 5 pieces: head, a separate hair piece, torso with the shirt and two arms.
  • Helmet upper body, 8 pieces: the iron helmet, a torso with the cord harness, four arm pieces (two bare upper arms and two cord-wrapped forearms) and the dynamite bundle in two sections.
  • Studio scale: 1:6 (from 3DMoon's store page for this model).
  • Tallest single piece: the standing leg, 126.1 mm (4.96 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
  • Plinth: 102.5 × 102.5 mm (4.04 × 4.04 in) across in the sculptor's file. The flames reach out past it.
  • Scale: 1:6 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The whole figure stands on one foot on a tilted slab. Pin the sole into the slab and the leg into the shorts.
  • The base is three pieces: the plinth and two explosion sections that have to meet each other and sit on it. Dry-fit them before glue.
  • The flame spikes, the rebar rods and the raised hand's pointing finger are thin.
  • Helmet upper body: the dynamite bundle is two pieces hanging off the side of the torso, so pin both joins, and fit the cord-wrapped arms last because the loose strands snag.
  • Both upper bodies are in the kit and sit on the same shorts. Glue the one you want to display, or leave the waist joint unglued if you want to swap them later.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
