IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 24 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

Four crows lift off around the raised hand, one gripping his fingers, and his right sleeve and the flying hem of his cloak tear away into the same feathers. His long black hair is parted to fall either side of his face under a metal forehead plate with a slash scratched through its emblem, with lines running down his cheeks from the eyes. He wears a long black cloak with red clouds outlined in white and a tall red-lined collar, a mesh shirt with a small pendant necklace, dark trousers, pale gray leg wraps and dark open-toed sandals, with a ring on his raised hand. What's in the kit

  • 24 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 12 pieces: head, a loose hair strand, legs, two feet, the raised right arm, two hands and the cloak in four pieces.
  • Crows, 4 pieces: four separate crows.
  • Base, 8 pieces: the rock outcrop in four pieces (including the loose block on the pillar), two throwing knives and two throwing stars.
  • Studio size: 1:6 scale, 352 mm (13.86 in) tall, 232 mm (9.13 in) wide and 186 mm (7.32 in) deep (from Tanuki Figures' printing and scale guide).
  • Scale: 1:6 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The cloak comes as four large, thin shells that meet over a woven surface. Dry-fit them before gluing and plan to fill and sand the seams.
  • The crows are thin-winged and hang in the air around the raised hand, one gripping the open fingers. Pin each crow and fit them last.
  • The base is four rock pieces; glue and pin them before the figure goes on, then pin the feet into the rock.
  • The throwing knives and stars are tiny. The knives stand point-down in the stone, so drill a small hole for each.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

Shipping and returns

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
