Anime Shadow Knight Resin Garage Kit – Red Plume, Torn Cape, Giant Sword & Shadow Flame Base, Black and Crystal Blades Both Included (Unpainted, 21 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 21 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art statue of the red-plumed shadow knight who serves the hero of a hit Korean action-fantasy series and its anime. He stands square and still, weight even on both feet, holding a huge sword low in one hand so the long blade runs out to his side, his other hand hanging open with clawed fingers. His closed, faceted helmet has a tall crest and horns sweeping up and back, and a long red plume tied at the top of the crest streams out behind him. He is plated from collar to boots in dark, sharp-edged armor, with spiked bosses at the collarbones and layered pauldrons that have curls of shadow rising off their edges, and a torn black cape fans out to the same side as the sword. The base is a round plinth with a raised rim and a small round emblem at the front, cracked rock inside the rim and a ring of curling shadow flames around his feet. The studio's renders paint the armor edges and the cape's cracks with glowing magenta lines. Both swords are in the box; swap them as you like: a heavy black blade with a jagged, wing-shaped guard, and the same sword as a pale crystal blade with dark veins, made for clear resin.
What's in the kit
- 21 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 10 pieces: helmeted head, the red plume, torso, hips and legs, two arms, two pauldrons and two boots.
- Cape, 3 pieces: the torn cape in three sections.
- Base, 4 pieces: the round base, the ring of flames, a single small flame and the front emblem.
- Black sword, 2 pieces: the heavy black blade with the wing-shaped guard, in two sections.
- Crystal sword, 2 pieces: the same sword shape as a pale blade with dark veins, made for clear resin, in two sections.
- Studio size: 456.4 mm (17.97 in) tall, 501.1 mm (19.73 in) wide and 296.1 mm (11.66 in) deep with the sword, as the studio's scale sheet shows the assembled model.
- Round base: 191.8 × 191.7 mm (7.55 × 7.55 in) across in the sculptor's file.
- Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- Both swords are huge, held in a single hand and reaching far out to one side, and each comes in two pieces. Pin the blade join and the arm at the shoulder; to swap swords later, pin the grip into the hand without glue.
- The red plume is a large, heavy piece that hangs out from the top of the helmet crest. Pin it to the crest.
- The cape comes in three thin sections that fan out to one side. Dry-fit them against the first photo before gluing.
- The ring of flames, the shadow curls on the pauldrons and the helmet horns are thin points.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
