IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 5 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

The miniature version of a fan-art statue of the scarred, white-haired demon-hunting swordsman from a hit sword-fighting anime: the same sculpt as the full statue, made smaller and in five pieces. He crouches low on the ridge of a broken tiled roof, one boot planted on the ridge cap and the other leg folded under him, twisting to grin back over his shoulder. His right hand holds a long sword with a jagged, saw-toothed edge, a star-shaped guard and a wrapped hilt, and his left arm is flung up behind him with the fingers spread. His spiky white hair is swept back with a heavy fringe, and raised scars cross his face, his open chest and both arms. He wears a white coat with a woven texture and a large black character on the back, over a dark open-fronted uniform jacket, a white belt with the scabbard tucked in at his hip, wide dark trousers, white shin wraps with straps and studs, and black boots. The base is a section of tiled roof over a wooden beam, with cracked and lifting tiles, round tile ends, a ridge cap and swirls of cloud along the front, and two tall crescents of wind sweep up around him from both sides. In the studio's painted design the wind is a bright yellow-green and the blade black with a green edge. The studio's scale sheet gives the miniature as 91 mm tall. The full 1:10 scale statue and the bust are sold as separate listings.

What's in the kit

  • 5 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 4 pieces: head with the hair, upper body with the raised arm, lower body with the boots, and the right arm with the sword.
  • Base, 1 piece: the roof base with both wind crescents as a single piece.
  • Miniature: 91 mm (3.58 in) tall, 64 × 89 mm (2.52 × 3.50 in) footprint (from the studio's scale sheet).

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The roof and both wind crescents come as a single base piece, so the build is the figure: lower body, upper body, head and the sword arm.
  • He balances on one boot on the ridge cap. Glue that joint firmly and let it cure before adding the sword arm.
  • The serrated blade is very thin at this size. Fit it last and remove its supports slowly.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
