Anime Six-Eyed Swordsman Bust Resin Garage Kit – Outstretched Sword Arm, Patterned Kimono & Long Mane (Unpainted, 7 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 7 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art bust of the six-eyed swordsman from a hugely popular sword-fighting anime set in old Japan. He holds a guard pose: his bare right arm comes straight out from the shoulder, and his fist grips the sword with the wrapped grip up and the blade pointing down past his hip. His head is level and turned slightly toward you, with three pairs of narrowed eyes, branching markings across the cheeks and brow, and a calm, closed mouth. A long, heavy mane of hair rises from a high knot at the crown, falls over both shoulders and sweeps down behind his back almost to the base, with one lock over the forehead. The kimono is sculpted with a hexagon lattice filled with a fine scale texture, one sleeve has slipped off the shoulder and trails out to the side as a long loose swath, and a broad sash is wrapped twice round the waist and tied at the front with a hanging tail. The bust is cut just above the waist and sits on a stepped round plinth with four angular tabs.
What's in the kit
- 7 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 6 pieces: the torso with the patterned kimono, sash and trailing sleeve, the head, the main hair mane, a smaller hair section, the outstretched arm and a sword piece.
- Base, 1 piece: the stepped round plinth.
- Studio size: 1:6 scale, 178 mm (7.01 in) tall, 157 mm (6.18 in) wide and 207 mm (8.15 in) deep (from Tanuki Figures' printing and scale guide).
- Scale: 1:6 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- The main hair mane is a large piece that hangs off the back of the head and down behind the torso. Glue it at more than one contact point and consider a pin into the back.
- The arm sticks straight out from the shoulder and holds the sword. Pin the shoulder join.
- The trailing sleeve is a broad, thin sheet and the hair has dozens of tapered strand tips. Take the supports off them slowly.
- The sword piece is the thinnest part in the kit. Fit it last.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
