Anime Six-Eyed Swordsman Resin Garage Kit – Giant Crescent Moon, Purple Flames & Lantern Platform Diorama (Unpainted, 27 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 27 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art statue of the six-eyed swordsman from a hugely popular sword-fighting anime set in old Japan, drawing his sword on a lantern-lit wooden platform while a giant crescent moon arcs over his head. He stands square with his feet apart. His left hand holds the scabbard at the sash, and his right arm reaches across his chest, sleeve fallen back, to grip the hilt at shoulder height with a length of blade showing. His face is pale and calm, with three pairs of eyes, a flame-shaped mark on the forehead and marks along the jaw. Very long dark hair falls in center-parted bangs and a high ponytail of big flame-like locks shading to crimson at the tips. He wears a violet kimono top covered in a fine crackle pattern broken by large black patches, a white inner collar, wide sleeves edged in white, a pale woven sash tied in a flat bow, deeply pleated charcoal trousers, and white split-toe socks with sandals. The sword grip is wrapped in teal cord, the guard is scalloped like a flower, and the blade and the knotted crimson scabbard are studded with sculpted eyes. Behind him a thick crescent moon with a rough, glittering surface and small crescent blades all round it rises on a column of purple flame at his side, arcs over his head and drips from its upper horn, while more flame ribbons spill across the platform around his feet. The platform is a weathered plank deck on square beams, with glowing lattice lantern boxes at the corners and a small standing lantern on the deck.
What's in the kit
- 27 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 10 pieces: head, the main hair mass, a smaller hair section, torso with the wide sleeves, the bare sword arm, the pleated trousers, two legs, a sword piece and the scabbard.
- Platform, 6 pieces: the wooden platform in five sections and the small standing lantern.
- Moon and flames, 11 pieces: the crescent moon and the flames in eleven sections.
- Studio size: 1:6 scale, 463 mm (18.23 in) tall, 333 mm (13.11 in) wide and 236 mm (9.29 in) deep (from Tanuki Figures' printing and scale guide).
- Scale: 1:6 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- The crescent moon and the flames come in eleven sections and set the full height and width of the piece. Dry-fit them on the platform against the photos before gluing, and pin the heavy moon sections.
- The studio suggests translucent resin for the moon and flame parts if you want them to glow. Plan two resins if you go that way.
- The trousers are the heaviest figure part and the figure stands on two legs. Pin the legs into the trousers and the feet into the platform deck.
- Thin parts: the scabbard, the sword piece, the hair tips, the flame wisps and the lattice bars of the standing lantern.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
