IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 8 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the monster-transformed hero from a hit anime about a man who turns into a giant monster. He strides across a slab of broken rock with his left foot planted and his right leg stretched back, toes braced against a cluster of jagged rock shards, his right fist raised high above his head and his left fist clenched at his waist. His body is black hide with a violet sheen and a cracked, dried-mud texture on the chest and arms, with larger stacked plates down the thighs and shins. Pale bone shows through as two collarbones, a row of hooked spikes down the spine and a rocky hood of dark plates over the back of the head. Bright cyan lines trace the bones under the hide: a frame around eight square ab blocks, bands around the shoulders and down both arms, the finger bones on the backs of the fists, the toe bones on both feet and lines across the shoulder blades. Both heads are in the box, so you can swap them as you like: a full lilac-white skull mask with two ringed horns, cyan pupils, a wide mouth of long fangs and a lolling tongue, or a half-transformed head with one horn, where the skull breaks away on one side to show a human face with an amber eye and spiky black hair tipped in violet.

What's in the kit

  • 8 resin pieces in total. Both heads are in the box.
  • Body, 5 pieces: the torso with the spine spikes and rock hood, two legs and two arms.
  • Heads, 2 pieces: the full skull head with two horns, fangs and tongue, and the half-transformed head with one horn and a human face on one side.
  • Base, 1 piece: the rock base with its shard cluster.
  • Tallest single piece: the forward leg, 170.4 mm (6.71 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
  • Rock base: 167.1 × 232.6 mm (6.58 × 9.16 in) footprint in the sculptor's file.
  • Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The whole figure stands on two leg joins, and the back foot meets the rock only at the toes. Pin both legs to the torso and both feet into the base, and dry-fit before gluing.
  • The raised arm is a long lever off the shoulder. Pin it.
  • The glowing bands cross the shoulders and arms, so any seam that lands on a band needs filling and sanding before paint.
  • Thin parts: the horns, the rows of fangs and the tongue, the hooked spine spikes, the hair spikes on the half-transformed head, the rock shards and the claws.
  • Both heads are in the kit. Leave the neck joint unglued (a pin holds it) if you want to swap them later.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
