Anime Young Swordsman Resin Garage Kit – Teal-Tipped Flowing Hair, Raised Katana, Mist Swirls & Stump Rock Base (Unpainted, Miniature, 5 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 5 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
The miniature version of a fan-art statue of the calm young swordsman with long black hair that fades to turquoise at the tips, from a hugely popular demon-hunting anime: the same sculpt as the full statue, made smaller and in 5 pieces. He is caught in a wide sideways stride, his front foot planted on a cut tree stump and his back foot on the rock behind it. His right arm is raised and bent behind his head so the katana angles down past his face, and his left arm reaches straight forward with the fingers open. His hair is swept back into a dozen loose strands as if he is moving fast, and his face is level and blank, with half-lidded turquoise eyes. He wears a black uniform jacket with a standing collar, two gold buttons and wide sleeves lined in white, with a large white character on the back, loose black trousers gathered at the shin, a white belt and dark sandals with turquoise straps and ankle wraps. The jacket and trousers carry a fine woven texture. The sword has a square pierced gold guard and a dark wrapped grip, and the scabbard hangs at his hip. The base is a slab of gray, faceted rock with a bark-textured stump, sharp splinters of wood sticking up, and a round cream pot painted with a leafy branch and flowers, while four white mist swirls curl around his feet and out past the rock. The studio's scale sheet gives the miniature as 70 mm tall. The full 1:10 scale statue and the bust are sold as separate listings.
What's in the kit
- 5 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 4 pieces: head with hair, upper body, lower body, and the right hand with the katana.
- Base, 1 piece: the rock base with the stump, the pot and the mist swirls as a single piece.
- Miniature: 70 mm (2.76 in) tall, 56 × 73 mm (2.20 × 2.87 in) footprint (from the studio's scale sheet).
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- The miniature is only five parts, and the rock, stump, pot and mist are a single-piece base, so there is no base seam to fill.
- Dry-fit the lower body on the base first: the front foot sits on the stump and the back foot on the rock.
- The katana is part of the right hand and is very thin at this size. Remove its supports slowly and glue the hand last.
- The mist swirls and the hair strands have thin tapering tips. Handle the base and the head with care.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
