Anime Young Swordsman Resin Garage Kit – Teal-Tipped Flowing Hair, Raised Katana, Mist Swirls & Stump Rock Base (Unpainted, 1:10 Scale, 17 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 17 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art statue of the calm young swordsman with long black hair that fades to turquoise at the tips, from a hugely popular demon-hunting anime. He is caught in a wide sideways stride, his front foot planted on a cut tree stump and his back foot on the rock behind it. His right arm is raised and bent behind his head so the katana angles down past his face, and his left arm reaches straight forward with the fingers open. His hair is swept back into a dozen loose strands as if he is moving fast, and his face is level and blank, with half-lidded turquoise eyes. He wears a black uniform jacket with a standing collar, two gold buttons and wide sleeves lined in white, with a large white character on the back, loose black trousers gathered at the shin, a white belt and dark sandals with turquoise straps and ankle wraps. The jacket and trousers carry a fine woven texture. The sword has a square pierced gold guard and a dark wrapped grip, and the scabbard hangs at his hip. The base is a slab of gray, faceted rock with a bark-textured stump, sharp splinters of wood sticking up, and a round cream pot painted with a leafy branch and flowers, while four white mist swirls curl around his feet and out past the rock. This listing is the full 1:10 scale statue; the miniature and the bust are sold as separate listings.
What's in the kit
- 17 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 10 pieces: head, bangs, the long flowing back hair, torso with both arms, two hands (the right one holding the katana), trousers, belt, and two feet with sandals.
- Base, 7 pieces: the rock base with the stump in two halves, the painted pot and the four mist swirls.
- 1:10 scale: 162 mm (6.38 in) tall, 129 × 168 mm (5.08 × 6.61 in) footprint (from the studio's scale sheet).
- Scale: 1:10 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- The base comes in two halves with a seam through the rock. Glue and fill it first, then dry-fit the feet: the front foot sits on the stump and the back foot on the rock.
- The back hair is one large part with many thin, freestanding strands. Support it well and handle it with care.
- The katana is thin and long, and it is part of the right hand. Fit it last.
- The four mist swirls plug in around the feet and have thin tapering tips. Dry-fit them to find where each one goes before gluing.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
