IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 6 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art bust of the rubber-limbed young captain from a famous anime pirate series, in his white-haired awakened form, caught mid-punch. His right arm drives forward and up, fully extended, ending in a tight fist with a raised vein along the forearm, and his shoulders twist into the swing as his head leans in. His face is one huge clenched grin, with ringed eyes, brows that curl at the inner ends and a stitched scar under one eye. The hair is a big mass of cloud-like locks: two large spiral curls at the front, a tall flame-shaped tuft at the crown and side locks streaming back into pointed tips. He wears an open shirt in a fine woven texture, with a flared turned-back cuff on the punching arm and a row of round buttons, over a muscular bare chest, and a cape in the same weave sweeps back off one shoulder and billows out behind him with a wavy, rolled hem. The bust is cut at the waist and leans forward on a ridged post over a round plinth with wedge-shaped buttresses around its rim.

What's in the kit

  • 6 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 5 pieces: the head, the torso, the open shirt with the cape, the punching arm and the fist.
  • Base, 1 piece: the round plinth with its post.
  • Studio size: 1:6 scale, 128 mm (5.04 in) tall, 150 mm (5.91 in) wide and 108 mm (4.25 in) deep (from Tanuki Figures' printing and scale guide).
  • Scale: 1:6 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: intermediate

  • The punching arm and fist reach straight out from the shoulder. Pin the shoulder and the wrist.
  • The shirt and cape are one large, thin piece that billows out behind him; it is the biggest part in the kit. Dry-fit it over the torso before gluing.
  • The bust leans forward on its post and the fist and cape overhang the plinth on both sides. Pin the torso onto the post.
  • Thin parts: the tall hair tuft, the flame-like hair tips and the flared sleeve cuff.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
