IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 40 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the wolf-raised girl from a classic animated fantasy film, riding a giant white wolf. The wolf is mid-leap, its hind feet pushing off the high end of a fallen tree and its forelegs reaching down toward a rock, tail curled up over its back and ears up. She crouches on its back with one knee up, one hand in the fur at its neck and a long spear held across her body, its bone-white blade marked with two red chevrons. She wears a pale gray wolf-pelt hood and cape over a sleeveless, coarse-woven tunic with a ragged hem, a deep blue knee-length skirt, wrapped ankle cuffs and soft shoes. A red mask with dark eye rings and fur ears is pushed up on top of her head, her dark bob is held by a blue headband, and she wears red face paint, large white disc earrings, a fang necklace and a cord armband, with a hard, scowling expression. The base is a moss-covered fallen tree lying across the scene with its roots at one end, hanging moss, vines, plant clumps and small orange flowers, a gray rock slab, and five small white tree spirits with tilted heads standing on the trunk, the rock and the moss.

What's in the kit

  • 40 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 12 pieces: head, two hair sections, the mask and its two fur ears, torso, left arm with the spear shaft, right arm, legs with the skirt, and two feet.
  • Pelt, 2 pieces: the hood and the cape.
  • Accessories, 3 pieces: the spear blade, the fang necklace and its pendant stone.
  • Wolf, 8 pieces.
  • Base, 10 pieces: the fallen tree, roots and rock in seven sections, and three plant clumps.
  • Tree spirits, 5 pieces: five small separate figures.
  • Studio size: 1:6 scale, 356 mm (14.02 in) tall, 400 mm (15.75 in) wide and 319 mm (12.56 in) deep (from Tanuki Figures' printing and scale guide).
  • Scale: 1:6 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • Build the fallen tree base first: seven large sections that have to line up into one trunk before the wolf goes on. Dry-fit them and pin the joins.
  • The wolf comes in eight sections and stands on the trunk and the rock with its full weight on its paws. Pin the legs into the body and the paws into the base.
  • She crouches on the wolf's back with the spear across her body; the spear shaft is part of the left arm and the blade is a separate small piece. Glue the arm and blade before fitting the pelt cape.
  • Thin and tiny parts: the necklace cord and its pendant, the mask ears, the hair strands, the plant leaves and the five small tree spirits.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
