IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 10 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art bust of the kindly, tea-loving retired general from a much-loved animated fantasy series, cut from the studio's lightning statue. He is bald on top with a gray topknot, long hair streaming back, a full beard and mustache and heavy brows. One huge robe sleeve flares out to the side and the other arm reaches across with the hand open. In the studio's painted design he wears a dark green outer robe edged in cream over a lighter green tunic, with a gray-teal sash and a gold buckle plate. The bust stands on a stepped plinth.

This listing is the bust, 92 mm tall on the studio's scale sheet. The full 1:10 statue and the miniature are sold as separate listings.

What's in the kit

  • 10 resin pieces in total.
  • Bust, 8 pieces: head, topknot and hair, chest with the sash and buckle, two robe sleeves, two forearms and one hand.
  • Plinths, 2 pieces: two plinths (alternate stands), one smaller and one larger.
  • The small lightning effect at the fingertips in the photo isn't included with the bust.
  • Bust: 92 mm (3.62 in) tall (from the studio's scale sheet, which gives no width or length for the bust).

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: intermediate

  • The two flared robe sleeves are large open cups that hang off the shoulders. Pin them at the shoulder joins.
  • The bust ships one hand; the other forearm ends inside its sleeve.
  • The kit includes two plinths, a smaller and a larger one; use either. Glue the bust on straight so it doesn't lean.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

Shipping and returns

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
