IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 19 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the young water-wielding heroine from a much-loved animated fantasy series, mid-move. She balances on one boot on the crest of a water spout with the other leg bent back behind her. One arm reaches up and back over her shoulder with the fingers spread, and the other is held low in front, palm open, with a thick tendril of water curling off it, while she turns her face to the viewer with a set, determined look. Her long brown hair flies up and back, with two front loops pinned by small pale-blue clasps. She wears a sleeveless blue tunic with a white collar band, a white sash, front and back skirt panels in blue edged in white, dark navy trousers, blue-gray boots and violet-blue arm wraps with fingerless gloves. Three arcs of water make up most of the statue: a tall hook rising behind her and breaking over her head, a band wrapping across her front from her low hand, and a coil spiraling up behind her back, over a churn of water and a slab of cracked tan rock.

This listing is the full 1:10 scale statue, 280 mm tall on the studio's scale sheet. The miniature of the whole scene and the bust are sold as separate listings.

What's in the kit

  • 19 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 10 pieces: head, front hair with the loops, flying back hair, torso, two arms, two legs with boots, and the front and back skirt panels.
  • Base and water, 9 pieces: the rock slab, the lower water churn in three sections, two single-piece water arcs and a third arc in three sections.
  • 1:10 scale: 280 mm (11.02 in) tall, 131 mm (5.16 in) wide and 194 mm (7.64 in) long (from the studio's scale sheet).
  • Scale: 1:10 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • Build the base first: the rock slab and the three water-churn sections. Dry-fit all the water arcs before any glue.
  • She stands on one boot on top of the churn, with the raised arm, the back hair and the bent leg hanging free. Pin the planted leg.
  • One water arc comes in three sections that meet on a smooth water surface. Plan to fill and sand those seams.
  • Thin parts: the spread fingers, the hair tips, the hair loops and the thin skirt panels.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
