Chibi Blue-Masked Turtle Warrior Resin Garage Kit – Twin Katanas, Crossed Scabbards & Broken Pavement Base (Unpainted, 10 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 10 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art chibi of the blue-masked, sword-carrying turtle hero from a famous American comic and cartoon franchise, in a deep, wide lunge with both katanas drawn. His right foot is planted on the low front slab of the base and his left is up on a raised block, so he stands at two heights. One blade is held level across his front and the other angled forward from his outstretched arm. The big round head carries a ragged deep blue mask tied at the back, with two long torn tails flaring up in the wind, narrowed cyan eyes and a wide gritted-teeth grin. He wears a brown leather belt knotted at the front with a matching strap over one shoulder, two empty scabbards crossed in an X on his brown shell, orange-brown knee and elbow pads held on with blue bands, and cream cloth wraps on his forearms, hands, shins and feet. The katanas have pale steel blades, black four-lobed guards and brown cord-wrapped grips. The base is a cracked two-level slab of broken gray pavement with loose rubble.
What's in the kit
- 10 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 6 pieces: the head with the mask and its tails, the torso with the shell, belt and strap, two arms with wrapped fists, and two legs.
- Swords, 3 pieces: the two crossed scabbards for his back and two katana blades.
- Base, 1 piece: the two-level broken pavement slab with rubble.
- Tallest single piece: the head with its mask, 69.0 mm (2.72 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height or scale, so I don't list one.
- Pavement base: 103.9 × 114.1 mm (4.09 × 4.49 in) across, from the sculptor's file.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: intermediate
- The two katana blades are very thin, with fragile tips and small contact points at the guards. Fit them last; a thin pin through each guard helps if it can be drilled.
- His feet land on two different levels of the base. Dry-fit both legs to the base and the torso together before gluing anything.
- The head is the heaviest part and sits on a small body. Pin it, and pin the ankles if you can.
- The mask tails are thin, and the shoulder joins sit on smooth skin, so expect seams there to fill and sand.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
