Chibi Caped Vigilante Resin Garage Kit – Gray Suit, Utility Belt, Scoped Rifle & Broken Rock Base, Masked and Unmasked Heads Included (Unpainted, 14 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 14 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art chibi of the famous caped vigilante from American comics, in his heavy, older-hero look. He stands wide-legged and hunched forward on a broken rock outcrop, one fist clenched out from his hip and the other hand open with the fingers spread, his long cape swept out to one side. He wears a light gray suit with a sculpted leather grain and a dark bat emblem across the chest, dark briefs, a mustard-yellow utility belt with rows of pouches, a second strap with a double pouch on one thigh, dark gauntlets with three fins on each, gloves with copper-brown leather patches, and mid-calf boots. A scoped rifle with a wooden stock and a leather sling hangs on his back. The cape gathers at the neck and falls in long folds to a scalloped hem. The base is a cracked flat slab of rock with loose stones and a ring of jagged shards around the rim. Both heads are in the box, so you can swap them as you like: a cowled head with short pointed ears, white eye lenses and a scowling jaw, and an unmasked head with swept-back gray hair, blue eyes, heavy brows and a lined forehead.
What's in the kit
- 14 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 9 pieces: torso with both arms, waist, two legs, two boots, two hands and the cape.
- Heads, 2 pieces: the cowled head with pointed ears and the unmasked gray-haired head. Both are in the box; swap them as you like.
- Rifle, 1 piece: the scoped rifle with its sling.
- Base, 2 pieces: the rock base in two halves.
- Tallest single piece: the cape, 136.3 mm (5.37 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height or scale, so I don't list one.
- Rock base: 135.7 × 145.2 mm (5.34 × 5.72 in) across, from the sculptor's single-piece file of the same base.
- The rifle is 131.6 mm (5.18 in) long in the sculptor's file.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- The cape is a large, thin curved sheet that hangs from the shoulders. Pin it at the shoulder join.
- The rifle has a thin barrel and a thin sling that runs over the shoulder and down the chest. Fit it after the torso and cape are glued. It can be left off for a cleaner look.
- The gauntlet fins and the cowl's ears are thin points.
- The rock base comes in two halves, with one seam through the stone to fill. Pin the boots to the base; the figure is heavy.
- Both heads come in the kit. Leave the neck joint unglued if you want to swap them later.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
